This page explains in plain language what beacontechgroup.com collects, why it is collected, who sees it and how to ask Beacon to remove it.
Beacon collects what you choose to send, and measures how the site is used.
There are two ways information reaches Beacon through this website: the contact form, which you fill in yourself, and website analytics, which counts visits without identifying you by name.
Who Beacon is, and how to reach us
This website belongs to Beacon Technology Group, Inc. If you have a question about anything on this page, or about information you have sent through the site, email bob@beacontechgroup.com or paul@beacontechgroup.com.
What the contact form collects, and why
The form on the contact page asks for your name, your email address, your mobile phone number, what you are interested in and a short description of what you are working on. Company name is optional. Beacon uses these answers for one purpose: to understand your inquiry and reply to it. Nothing you send through the form is added to a marketing or newsletter list.
Where inquiries go
When you submit the form, the submission is handled by Netlify, the service that hosts this website, and is emailed to Beacon. Beacon also keeps a record of website inquiries in its customer relationship management system, Zoho CRM, so that the conversation is not lost. Beacon's email is run on Google Workspace. Those providers process the information so that Beacon can receive and answer it.
How long Beacon keeps inquiries
Beacon keeps an inquiry for as long as it is useful to the conversation it started: through the reply, and afterwards as a record of who got in touch and what about. If you would rather Beacon did not keep yours, say so and it will be removed.
Website analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to count how the site is used: which pages are opened, how visitors arrived, roughly where in the world they are and what kind of device and browser they used. Beacon reads this as totals and trends, not as individual people. Beacon plans to add Microsoft Clarity, which measures the same kind of aggregate usage and records how pages are scrolled and clicked. Neither tool receives what you type into the contact form.
Cookies
The analytics tools above set cookies in your browser so that repeat visits are not counted twice. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. The site's pages work without them.
Links to other websites
Some pages link to other organizations, including Beacon's LinkedIn page. Once you follow a link away from this site, the other organization's own privacy practices apply, not this page.
Beacon does not sell your information
Beacon does not sell, rent or trade information collected through this website, and does not share it with anyone outside the providers named above who help operate the site and Beacon's email and CRM.
Asking for a copy, a correction or deletion
Email bob@beacontechgroup.com or paul@beacontechgroup.com and say what you would like: a copy of what Beacon holds about your inquiry, a correction to it, or its deletion. Beacon will confirm once it is done.
Changes to this page
If how the site collects or uses information changes, this page changes with it, and the date below is updated.
